The 2023 Oscar Nominations have been announced

Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams have just announced this year’s Academy Award nominees.

Everything Everywhere All at Once leads the pack with 11 nominations, closely followed by The Banshees Of Inisherin and All Quiet On The Western Front which both got nine. Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Stephanie Hsu and Ke Huy Quan were all nominated for their roles in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

In what I think is a first, two sequels were nominated in the Best Picture category – Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water.
