Genndy Tartakovsky’s Conan the Barbarian animated series is finally heading our way

Genndy Tartakovsky brought us the excellent Star Wars Clone Wars original series, Samurai Jack and Primal animated shows. I have always loved his work, and I have always loved Conan the Barbarian. Tartakovsky had first mentioned an animated show featuring our favourite barbarian back in 2008, but at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, he announced it had been picked up by Prime Video. However, there is still a while to go.

After finding love in the pirate queen, Bêlit, a battle-hardened Conan defies gods, fate and even death to save her from a dark sorcery that threatens to destroy everything.

Tartakovsky does like his strong, silent heroes who can kick ass, so Conan the Barbarian is a match made in heaven.

So far, all we have to see is this wonderful poster, but I am very excited for this show.

Tartakovsky will serve as executive producer and showrunner. He is joined by other executive producers Darrick Bachman, Fred Malmberg and Mark Wheeler.

  1. He should make Sym Bionic Titan season 2 first and wrap the series up
