Ghosts: The Possession of Button House gets a trailer
Lionsgate has released the first trailer for GHOSTS: The Possession of Button House directed by Simon Hynd and released in UK and Ireland cinemas on 23 October. The beloved and award-winning BBC comedy GHOSTS arrives on the big screen this Halloween. GHOSTS‘ stars, writers and creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond are back, along with Lolly Adefope, Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe, in a feature-length family adventure. GHOSTS: The Possession of Button House will be haunting cinemas in the UK and Ireland from October 23.
GHOSTS writers and creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond are Executive Producers. Jill Forbes is Executive Producer for Monumental. Executive Producer for BBC Film is Eva Yates. Lionsgate will distribute in the UK with Marie-Claire Benson and Emma Berkofsky as Executive Producers. BBC Studios will distribute worldwide, with Richard Acton as Executive Producer.
Produced by Monumental Television, GHOSTS for five series on BBC One, with the final episode watched by 7.2 million viewers. It was the most-watched comedy series of 2023 in the UK. The hit US version of the series is currently in its fifth season, produced by Lionsgate Television in partnership with CBS Studios and BBC Studios LA, with a sixth season already commissioned. Internationally, the format has now been licensed in six territories, most recently in Czechia, with local versions also produced in France, Germany, Australia and Greece. The series and format are distributed by BBC Studios.
