October – Jeremy Saulnier is directing a new Halloween themed horror film

Jeremy Saulnier, the director behind Blue Ruin, Green Room and Rebel Ridge is working on a new Halloween horror-thriller, October, for A24.

Cory Michael Smith (Gotham, Saturday NIght) has been cast in the film, according to Deadline.

Plot details are scare but it is being described as a fugitive thriller set during Halloween.

It is not much to go on, but I have enjoyed Saulnier’s previous films so I will look forward to seeing this.

Saulnier will direct from his own script, with A24 producing and financing.

Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central) and Jeremy Saulnier & Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films) will produce, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch) and Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) exec producing.
