Guy Gardner, Hawk Girl and more feature in the Peacemaker Season 2 trailer

Peacemaker Season 1 was an excellent show caught up in the changing of the guard of the DC films. John Cena is great in the role. The second season is heading our way and James Gunn has said Gunn has said it will “directly continue Peacemaker’s story while transitioning him fully into the new DCU narrative.”

The new series will feature Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., who first appeared in the Creature Commandos animated series. His son, Rick Flag Jr. (Joel Kinnaman), was killed by Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad, and now he is after Peacemaker.

The trailer features Isabela Merced’s Hawk Girl, Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner, and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord. Both Gardner and Hawk Girl appear in the new Superman film, which is out on 11th July.

The show also stars Steve Agee as John Economos, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante,  Nhut Le as Judomaster, Sol Rodriguez as Sasha Bordeaux, Tim Meadows as A.R.G.U.S. agent Langston Fleury, David Denman in a mysterious role, and Brey Noelle as  White Rabbit.

Peacemaker Season 2 premieres on 21st August on Max.
