Top Gun 3 is heading into the danger zone!
Tom Cruise plays Capt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
Top Gun: Maverick was a huge success and got a lot of people back into the cinema. It was the highest-grossing movie of Tom Cruise’s career making $1.49 billion. Earlier this week came news that Tom Cruise had made a deal with Warner Bros. to make new movies.
Put both of those things together and it is no surprise to hear that Paramount is working on a third Top Gun film.
Puck had the news that Top Gun: Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger is currently writing a draft. Miles Teller and Glen Powell could also return as well as producers Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison. Joseph Kosinski, will reportedly either direct or produce.
Cruise is currently over at Paramount filming the eighth Mission: Impossible film, so there could be a chance he goes straight into Top Gun 3 once that wraps.
There are no plot details at the moment and I do wonder where they will go in the third film. Will Maverick step out of the cockpit and be the guy back at base, while the younger characters go on the mission or will he be the one leading the charge again?

It would be great if the story could have some sort of joint effort with the RAF supporting the US Airforce in a training or combat mission as often works in real military operations . Maybe beano leaves could play an interesting part as a british top gun . He would most certainly be a great actor to bring alot of interest to top gun 3
