Paddington In Peru gets a release date

STUDIOCANAL & Heyday Films today announce that PADDINGTON IN PERU is coming to UK cinemas 8 November 2024. It opens in USA and Canada on 17th January 2025.

Directed by Dougal Wilson PADDINGTON IN PERU has completed filming on location in London, Peru and Colombia starring Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin and Jim Broadbent with both Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton returning as the respective voices of Paddington and Aunt Lucy.

Joining the cast is newcomer Carla Tous in the role of Gina Cabot.

Previously announced Rachel Zegler was unable to carry out the role in PADDINGTON IN PERU due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Director Dougal Wilson said “It’s been a joy and an honour to shoot Paddington in Peru with such a wonderful and talented cast and crew. I feel incredibly lucky to have been blessed with such a lovely group of people, many of whom have returned to the world of this beloved bear. We are also delighted to have welcomed Emily, Olivia, Antonio and Carla to the Paddington family.”

The highly anticipated third Paddington film brings Paddington’s story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and to the mountain peaks of Peru.

The film began principal photography in July filming in London, Peru and Colombia and is fully financed and developed by STUDIOCANAL who will distribute in the UK, France, Germany, Benelux, Poland, Australia and New Zealand as well as through partners in China and Japan. Sony Pictures will distribute in the USA, Canada and other key international territories including Latin America. PADDINGTON IN PERU is produced by Heyday Films.

PADDINGTON IN PERU is based on the best-selling and internationally adored series of children’s stories by British author Michael Bond with a story by Paul King, Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton and a screenplay by Mark Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamont. Heyday Films is producing with David Heyman and Rosie Alison as producers and with Rob Silva as co-producer. Director of the first two films, Paul King serves as Executive Producer alongside Anna Marsh, Ron Halpern and Dan MacRae from STUDIOCANAL, Tim Wellspring and Jeffrey Clifford and Naoya Kinoshita.
