When exactly will the second season premiere?

Due to the show’s size, a second season will take some time to release. The first season took 10 months to shoot before those dragons were added. The work on the visual effects for Season 1 began in January, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Season 2 could return in the summer or fall of 2024 if it also requires nearly a year of filming and additional VFX work.

The Spanish newspaper Hoy reported that production will return to the city of Cáceres, Spain, from Spring to June 2023, where Lord’s Arrival is portrayed on both HotD and Round of Privileged positions. Shooting for the new season will begin in Spring 2023.
