Titane gets a new clip and a UK release date

Due to high demand, Altitude and Film4 have announced they will now release the critically acclaimed and hotly anticipated Palme d’Or winner TITANE on the 26th December in cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

Following a series of unexplained crimes, a father is reunited with the son who has been missing for 10 years.

Titane: A metal highly resistant to heat and corrosion, with high tensile strength alloys.

TITANE was written and directed by Julia Ducournau – one of the most exciting directors working today. It is only the second time that a woman has won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival, following in the footsteps of Jane Campion for The Piano and Ducournau’s own feature debut, RAW, which won the Fipresci prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.

TITANE received its UK Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, as the Time Out Special Presentation, and played in over 8 locations outside London as part of the festival’s UK-wide previews. It is now the official French submission for the Best International Film category for the 2022 Oscars.

The lead cast features veteran French actor Vincent Lindon (THE MEASURE OF A MAN) and breakthrough star Agathe Rousselle, in an unforgettable performance, alongside Garance Marillie (RAW), Lais Salameh and Bertrand Bonello.

TITANE is produced by Jean-Christophe Reymond (THE WAKHAN FRONT, ARAB BLUES), with cinematography by Reuben Impens (THE BROKEN CIRCLE BREAKDOWN, RAW), edited by Jean-Christophe Bouzy (RAW) and features an original score by Jim Williams (KILL LIST, BEAST). Casting was by Christel Baras (PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE) and Constance Demontoy-Arda (SPLICE, INCENDIES).

TITANE is released in cinemas on 26 December in the UK and Ireland.
