There is a live-action Kamen Rider movie heading our way

Toei has announced three new Kamen Rider projects to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

Anno Hideaki, creator of Evangelion and the co-director of the excellent Shin Gozilla, will direct a live-action movie called Shin Kamen Rider. Variety reported that the film is due out in March 2023. There are no other details for the film but Anno said he wants to make
“entertainment that even those who don’t know the original show can enjoy.”

Kamen Raidā Shirīzu, translated as “Masked Rider Series”), also known as Masked Rider, is a Japanese metaseries / media mix of tokusatsu television programs and films, and manga, created by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. The Kamen Rider media generally features a motorcycle-riding superhero with an insect motif who fights supervillains, often known as kaijin.

Kamen Rider Black Sun is a reboot of the TV series originally broadcast in 1987-88. The new series will be directed by Shiraishi Kazuya (“Blood of Wolves”) for a Summer 2022 start.

Fuuto PI is a Kamen Rider anime that will hit in spring 2022 and it is based on a Sanjo Riku and Sato Masaki comic that launched in 2017.
