Alien Awakening – Watch the teasers for new Chinese horror movie inspired by Cthulhu

Lin Yunxiang directed this new horror film, Alien Awakening (aka Alien Invasion) which is nothing to do with the Alien movies, but is instead inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s cosmic horror. As you can see that means giant tentacled beasties.

Inspired by the myth of Cthulhu, the film tells a fantasy horror adventure story triggered by a mysterious quantum mechanics experiment. Its brain-opening science fiction stories, exotic monsters in the strange world, and realistic visual effects will lead the audience into the unknown world where the “mysterious ruler” is located.

It stars Zheng Xitong, Wang Yiqi, Xu Shaoxiong, Luo Yingjun and Lou Xuexian.
