Bruce Campbell confirms the new Evil Dead movie has a director
Bruce Campbell will forever be Ash. He was so good in the Evil Dead trilogy and the subsequent TV show. He has said many times that he will not be playing the character on-screen again which is a shame. However, he is still involved behind the scenes.
While talking to Empire he confirmed that Lee Cronin will be directing the film which is called Evil Dead Now.
From this point forward, they kind of have to stand on their own. Which is fine. And liberating. You could have different heroes, different heroines in this case. This one is gonna be a little more dynamic.
We just want to keep the series current. And the mantra, really, is that our heroes and heroines are just regular people. That’s what we’re going to continue.

Cronin sounds like a good fit for the project and, while it is still early days I am looking forward to more Evil Dead shenanigans.
