Critical Role gets a new animated Mighty Nein intro for Campaign 2 and Deborah Ann Woll is on this weeks episode

Longtime readers will know that, as well as the obvious love of films, I am also a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons. I’ve been DMing a campaign for the last couple of years and I also enjoy watching a few games online.

One of my favourites is Critical Role, which features a bunch of nerdy-ass voice actors get to play Dungeons and Dragons – Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Sam Riegel, Marisha Ray, Travis Willingham, Liam O’Brien, Ashley Johnson and Taliesin Jaffe.

You will have heard the voices in many different cartoons and video games.

I was lucky enough to bump into Taliesin Jaffe in Midtown Comics when I was in New York this year. A lovely chap and was great talking to him about D&D for a few minutes.

They are well into their second campaign featuring the group known as The Mighty Nein. Last night they debuted their new animated opening and it is fantastic. Featuring the vocals of Laura Bailey and Ashley Johnson with, I think, backing from Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham, it truly is mighty.

Also, this week sees Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil, True Blood) guest star in the campaign. Deborah is a huge of the game and had been a DM and player for many years. Really looking forward to find out.
