The Random: Bride of Frankenstein, Luc Besson, Linda Cardellini, Creed 2, Bill and Ted 3, Amazing Stories and more

– Director Bill Condon already has his next Bride of Frankenstein in mind if Angelina Jolie splits up with the delayed project. That person is Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) – The Wrap

Linda Cardellini has been cast as the lead in New Line’s upcoming horror film The Children. Michael Chaves is directing. James Wan will produce through his Atomic Monster production banner. The story follows a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy – Variety

Luc Besson’s next film is called Anna. Lionsgate and EuropaCorp have closed a co-production deal for Besson’s next action film. EuropaCorp will produce the film, while Lionsgate will distribute it. The movie starts production this November. The pic stars Helen Mirren, Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy, and newcomer Sasha Luss, as Anna – Variety

Sylvester Stallone will be directing Creed 2, which stars Michael B. Jordan and Dolph Lundgren.

Bill and Ted 3 will be called Bill and Ted Face the Music. Keanu Reeves shared the news at the New Yorker Festival. “It’s a cautionary tale,” said Reeves. “They’re supposed to save the world. But when we see them, they haven’t saved the world, and they’re married and have kids. And they’re playing to nobody. … But they have to write the song… and face the music! Hopefully we’ll make it before I’m 60.”

Amblin Entertainment and producer Steven Spielberg are teaming up with Apple to produce a reboot of the classic 1980s anthology series Amazing Stories. The show is being developed by Bryan Fuller (Hannibal, American Gods).

Matt Ryan will return as Constantine in a two-episode story arc in Legends of Tomorrow. Series showrunner Phil Klemmer said, “As for the character of Constantine, we knew that an alienated, chain-smoking, bisexual, world-weary demonologist would feel right at home among our Legends. His appearance in episode 310 will involve the following: a revisiting of Arrow season four and the events following that season’s finale episode; a confrontation with this season’s Big Bad on Legends — the name we’ve only heard whispered until now Mallus; some hot sex — something that has been in short supply on the Waverider thus far in season three; and Damien Darhk (Neil McDonough), because how can you do an episode about dark magic and not have Damien Darhk? More than anything, the episode promises to be scary as you know what — tonally it’s The Exorcist meets One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. Demonic possession in a mental institution, what’s not to love?” Legends of Tomorrow season three premieres Tuesday, October 10th at 9pm on The CW – THR

– Watch the trailer for the Jack Ryan TV show – Join CIA analyst Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) as he’s catapulted into a deadly game of cat and mouse with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.
