The Minecraft movie will be with us in 2019
Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia), is set to direct the Minecraft movie. McElhenney is the creator, developer, and executive producer of It’s Always Sunny and has done quite a bit of directing on it as well.
Things had been quiet about the film, but now we have a release date.

I know you’ve been thinking just about every day, “When’s the Minecraft movie coming out?” Luckily for you, we can finally say!
The Minecraft movie will be released on May 24, 2019! The film will also be released in 3D & IMAX.
Yes, that might seem like a long time away, but it just so happens to be the right amount of time to make it completely awesome. And we all want an awesome Minecraft movie, right?

There is now word on the plot or whether there will be live action elements to the film, but I do know my daughter is really looking forward to the film.
