Cool Short: Watch Danny Pudi and Ahna O’Reilly in Gillian Jacobs’ Curated

Gillian Jacobs and Danny Pudi spent six seasons together in Community. While we wait for that movie, Gillian Jacobs directed this short film which stars Ahna O’Reilly, Danny Pudi, and Jefferson Mays.

Called Curated it is part of the Shatterbox film series for TNT.

During a reluctant trip to her late Grandmother’s home in the middle of nowhere, Nancy learns that a person’s sentiment and complexities aren’t limited to the things they leave behind.

It is a cool short and great to see that Gillian Jacobs didn’t Britta this one up!

Women make up half the U.S. population, but in 2017, women directed only 8 percent of the top 100 films. Shatterbox, a film series from TNT and Refinery29, provides a platform for the next cycle of female storytellers to create short films that redefine identity, imagination and storytelling through the female lens.

After six seasons of sitting next to Danny Pudi and watching his brilliant work, I got to direct him! Thanks for giving up your days off to come and be in this film, Pudi. I love you!! LINK IN BIO to watch “Curated.” Sidenote: Danny sat to my right at lunch one day during the shoot and I almost started crying. We sat in that configuration for hundreds (thousands?) of hours at the study room table. Looking to my right and seeing his face again hit me so hard. He’s a gem.
