There may be a new RoboCop movie heading our way that will be a sequel to the original film
RoboCop is a stone cold classic. Then we had the sequels and the 2014 remake. None of them came close to capturing the magic of the first film.
Ed Neumeier is the co-writer and co-producer of the 1987 RoboCop and while talking to Zeitgeist Entertainment Magazine he mentioned that there was a new RoboCop film being developed!
We’re not supposed to say too much. There’s been a bunch of other RoboCop movies and there was recently a remake and I would say this would be kind of going back to the old RoboCop we all love and starting there and going forward. So it’s a continuation really of the first movie. In my mind. So it’s a little bit more of the old school thing.
I’ll buy that for a dollar!
That sounds like a good way to go, and similar to what is happening with the new Halloween film.
Obviously, this is very early days in the project and it may not come to pass. However, would you want to see a new RoboCop film that follows on from the 1987 original?
