Lady – Watch Sian Clifford in the trailer for the new surreal British mockumentary

MetFilm Distribution has announced that LADY will open in UK and Irish cinemas on July 3 this summer and has released the trailer. The debut feature by BAFTA-nominated writer-director Samuel Abrahams (CONNECT, OFFLINE DATING), LADY stars Sian Clifford (FLEABAG, THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND), Laurie Kynaston (HOW TO BUILD A GIRL, FOOL ME ONCE) and Juliet Cowan (BACK TO BLACK, AM I BEING UNREASONABLE).

The film received its World Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival to widespread critical acclaim.

LADY is an off-beat comedy about a lonely, narcissistic aristocrat who dupes a struggling, opportunistic director into filming her every move. But her obsession with the spotlight takes a surreal turn when she starts becoming… invisible. Blending mockumentary and magical realism, LADY satirises our desperate need to feel seen.

LADY’s screenplay is by Samuel Abrahams and Miranda Campbell Bowling. Producers are Stewart le Maréchal and Anna Mohr-Pietsch for MetFilm Production (LAST BREATH, SWIMMING WITH MEN, 23 WALKS, THE REASON I JUMP), sister company to MetFilm Distribution.
