A Mother’s Embrace – Watch the trailer for the new Brazilian horror

In 1996 a young firefighter (Marjorie Estiano) and her team are called to help an old people’s home that is at risk of flood during the worst storm to ever hit Rio de Janeiro. As they try their best to evacuate the elderly, the firefighter soon finds that something sinister is lurking beneath the surface, and the residents are not as innocent as they first seemed. Entangled in their web, she must fight through her own traumatic past to escape.

A twisted and original new Brazilian horror from award-winning Argentine writer/director Cristian Ponce (History of the Occult, The Krilian Frequency), A Mother’s Embrace premiered to acclaim at Sitges Film Festival and had its UK premiere at Glasgow Film Festival.
