Watch the UK trailer for Red Sonja

The UK trailer for the new Red Sonja film has been released. Matilda Lutz (Revenge, Rings, Medici) is Red Sonja. She stars alongside Wallis Day (Sex/Life, Batwoman) as Annisia, and Robert Sheehan (The Umbrella Academy, Misfits) as Draygan, Michael Bisping (xXx: Return of Xander Cage) as Hawk, Martyn Ford as General Karlak (F9: The Fast Saga, Final Score), Eliza Matengu (Thor: Love and Thunder) as Amarak, Manal El Feitury (Code Red) as Ayala, and Katrina Durden (Doctor Strange, Shadow and Bone) as Saevus and Rhona Mitra (Doomsday, The Hollow Man).

Enslaved by an evil tyrant who wishes to destroy her people, barbarian huntress Red Sonja must unite a group of unlikely warriors to face off against Dragan The Magnificent and his deadly bride, Dark Annisia.

I’ve always been a fan of Conan the Barbarian, Red Sonja, Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser and other sword and sorcery characters. I have recently been reading Red Sonja: Consumed by Gail Simone, which is excellent. That’s all to say that I am definitely in the right wheelhouse for this.
