Traveller: A 50 Year Odyssey – Watch the trailer for the new documentary about the classic sci-fi role playing game

Before countless tabletop adventurers headed for distant galaxies, there was Traveller.

First published in 1977, Traveller became one of the pioneering science-fiction tabletop roleplaying games, giving players an enormous universe in which to explore strange new worlds, discover ancient civilisations, trade between the stars and, perhaps most importantly, try to keep their ageing spacecraft flying for one more jump.

Traveller: A 50 Year Odyssey is a new documentary celebrating five decades of the hugely influential RPG, looking back at its creation, evolution and enduring legacy as it approaches its 50th anniversary.

Created by Tex and the Black Pants Legion, in collaboration with Traveller creator Marc Miller, the documentary will explore the people, ideas and community behind a game that helped define science-fiction roleplaying and has kept generations of Travellers heading out into the Far Future.
