A Hero – Watch the trailer for the new Iranian drama

Rahim (Amir Jadidi) is in prison because of a debt he was unable to repay. During a two-day leave, he tries to convince his creditor (Mohsen Tanabandeh) to withdraw his complaint against the payment of part of the sum. But things don’t go as planned…

Written and directed by Asghar Farhadi, the film stars Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Fereshteh Sadrorafaii, Sahar Goldoust, Maryam Shahdaie, Sarina Farhadi, and Saleh Karimai.

The film is Iran’s Official Selection for Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards®.

Amazon Studios will release A Hero in US cinemas this Friday, January 7th, 2022. It then hits Prime Video January 21st, 2022.
