Army of Thieves gets a trailer

If you watched Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead you will recall the safecracker guy, Dieter (Matthias Schweighofer). For some reason, Snyder wrote a prequel movie about it. Not quite sure why as we all know what happens to the character so any sense of peril in this one is negated because of it. We also know the safe in the Army of the Dead film was the only one he had yet to open so we know he will be successful in this film….unless he lied.

However, I did like the Dieter character and I enjoy a heist movie and this was directed by Matthias Schweighofer and it not appear to have been shot with almost everything out of focus like Army of the Dead so I will give it a watch.

In this prequel to Zack Snyder’s ARMY OF THE DEAD, small-town bank teller Dieter gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.

It is due out on Netflix late this year.
