Check out Michael Myers in a new image from Halloween Kills

David Gordon Green is working on two sequels to 2018’s Halloween – Halloween Kills and Halloween EndsJohn Carpenter is back to do the soundtrack for the new films in Blumhouse and Universal’s horror franchise.

Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, The Dead Zone) joins Jamie Lee Curtis in the sequel. He will be playing Tommy Doyle. This character who first appeared in the original “Halloween” movie as one of the kids Laurie Strode (Curtis) babysat the night Michael Myers reigned terror on the small town. Doyle returned in 1995’s Halloween: The Curse of Michael MyersPaul Rudd played Tommy in that film.

Total Film had this new image from the movie.

Gordon Green had this to say about the new film.

It’s one thing to be afraid of the Bogey Man, to have someone who might be in the closet, under the bed, creeping around your house. But what we wanted to explore next was confusion, misinformation, and paranoia. What happens when fear goes viral? You can’t just stick your head under the covers any more.

When we made the last one we wanted to find a way for someone who’s never seen the original to get up to speed with the story, but this one gets right to the action. It’s very aggressive. It’s more efficient. We wanted it to be an explosive middle before things get streamlined and personal again.

Halloween Kills is out on 15th October 2021. Halloween Ends will then be released on Friday, October 14, 2022.
