Dick Miller has passed away

Another legend has left us. Character actor Dick Miller has died at the age of 90.

he starred in more than 100 films in a career that spanned 60 years, beginning in the 1950s with Roger Corman. He later appeared in the films of directors who began their careers with Corman.

You will know him from Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Explorers, Piranha, The Howling, A Bucket of Blood, The Little Shop of Horrors, Chopping Mall, Night of the Creeps, The Terminator, The ‘Burbs and Small Soldiers.

He worked with many great directors – James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, John Sayles and more. However, it is probably his work with Joe Dante that many of us will remember as he had a role in pretty much all of Dante’s films.

Miller portrayed several fictional characters named Walter Paisley. The name first appeared in the Roger Corman film A Bucket of Blood.

There was also a documentary about him from 2014 called That Guy Dick Miller.

Miller is survived by his wife Lainie, daughter Barbara and granddaughter Autumn.

He is a legend and he will be missed.
