Mini Review: The Secret Life of Pets by my daughter
Over the weekend I took my daughter, Hannah, to the cinema to see The Secret Life of Pets. It was a full house, which always makes it more fun.
Max (Louis C.K.) is a spoiled terrier who enjoys a comfortable life in a New York building until his owner adopts Duke, a giant and unruly canine. During their walk outside, they encounter a group of ferocious alley cats and wind up in a truck that’s bound for the pound. Luckily, a rebellious rabbit named Snowball swoops in to save the doggy duo from captivity. In exchange, Snowball demands that Max and Duke join his gang of abandoned pets on a mission against the humans who’ve done them wrong.
Both of us thoroughly enjoyed the film and Hannah decided that she wanted review it.
This is her first ever movie review and she wanted me to share it with you. Now over to Hannah…..
I think The Secret Life of Pets was a very clever movie, with a very good animation style. There are quite a few similarities to Toy Story, but apart from that it was a great movie.
Pros: Style, Plot, Voices
Cons: Similarities to Toy Story, could have done with more human characters.
Thanks for review. My seven year old liked this better than ‘Finding Dory’. According to his friends, they all like it better too.
