"No matter where you go, there you are."

Don’t forget that Doug Jones is playing Nosferatu in a new film

Back in 2014 I shared news of a new Nosferatu film in the works. Directed by David Lee Fisher it has got the mighty Doug Jones – Abe Sapien in HellBoy, the Silver Surfer in Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the Fauno and Pale Man in Pan’s Labyrinth – as the Count.

I am not sure whether Variety missed the memo on this, but they are now reporting about the film so it seemed like a good idea to remind people about it as Doug Jones and Nosferatu are both brilliant.

They finished filming last year and had this to say about it on the Kickstarter page:

2015 flew by and finished off the year with filming Nosferatu. It was an incredible success and as we begin to work through the footage, it’s already giving us chills. If you weren’t already, it’s time to get excited. This is going to be a horrifyingly beautiful, landmark film.

You can check out the Facebook Page for more info.

The new film is set to be a remix kind of thing – a feature-length, faithful homage to this classic masterpiece through use of an updated story structure, plot pacing, visual effects, and importantly sound and music.

The film also stars Emrhys Cooper, Joely Fisher, Sarah Carter and Jake Turner.

Hopefully there will be a trailer heading our way soon.
