This 3D Printed model of the Cygnus from Disney’s The Black Hole is a thing of beauty

Jeff Bond put together this amazing model of the Cygnus X-1 for Disney’s The Black Hole.

This is a 3D-printed model courtesy of “primitive dave” available on shape ways.com.I’m not a big fan of the movie The Black Hole and I’m not even much of a fan of the Cygnus, but it is an incredible model subject that’s never been done decently before.
The flexible frame parts fit over a laser-cut plexiglas armature; I used two strings of LEDs that came with remote control dimmers that provide various cool effects.
