Cool Short: Ghostbusters of New Orleans

This is a great Ghostbusters fan film from American Immersion Theater founder Scott Cramton and his friends.

Scott explained how this came to be.

It started with wanting a traditional “Vegas Bachelor Party.” I wanted to do something my friends and I would remember forever. Growing up, we all made movies together, but never anything that went anywhere. So, that was the idea: to make something that would go somewhere. I took the money from what would have been a bachelor party and added, like, a lot more money to the budget, and then we made this film.

Ghostbusters of New Orleans is a parody fan film that does not make money. I will never make a dollar on this, and that’s totally fine with me. I believe that art is not just about cashing in a paycheck. I try to live out my dreams, and I feel blessed to have had the ability to create this.

This is a love letter to my wife, to my friends, and to every Ghostbusters fan out there.

Thanks for watching. Even if no one sees this, I would make this movie a hundred times over. I love making art with my friends. I love Ghostbusters and my wife, India. What you are about to watch is everything I love in 30 minutes. If you get anything out of this, I hope it’s that you create the next wacky idea you have. Creating art with my friends and loved ones is what gives me life.

Thank you, everyone, for making my dreams come true.

Sincerely, Scott Cramton
