A chronicle of a child confronting the truth of his origins, Orphan traces a family history shadowed by some of the darkest chapters of 20th‑century Europe. Spanning the devastation of the Holocaust and the authoritarian grip of the Communist era, Nemes’ latest feature offers a deeply moving exploration of identity, memory, and the fragile process of rebuilding a sense of self. The film stars Bojtorján Barabas, Grégory Gadebois, Andrea Waskovics and Hermina Fátyol.
