Fairmont St Andrews sets up for a Smurf-Tastic summer to celebrate the upcoming cinema release

In a world-first for golf and film, Fairmont St Andrews, home to the resort’s championship Torrance Course, is celebrating the launch of the new Smurfs movie, releasing in UK cinemas on 18 July 2025, with a summer-long celebration bringing the magic of the beloved blue crew to the iconic five-star Scottish coastal resort.

From Smurf-inspired activity trails to creative dining moments and blue-hued treats, guests are invited to dive into a playful world of imagination and cinematic fun on Scotland’s east coast.

Smurf favourites, Smurfette and No Name Smurf, even checked into the resort to tee off the celebrations in style – proving that even legendary blue icons love a Scottish staycation.

To mark the launch of the summer celebrations, a host of celebrities visited Fairmont St Andrews, including Rachel Riley & Pasha Kovalev, Aston Merrygold & Sarah Merrygold, Nathan Massey & Cara Delahoyde-Massey, Nadiya Bychkova, James Bye & Victoria Bye, Chyna Mills & Neil Jones, and Sandro Farmhouse.
