Sony is moving all its 2020 Summer films to 2021


COVID-19 has meant many of us have had to change the way we live. Cinemas have closed down so for the film studios that has meant closing down many projects, releasing some films on digital, and moving release dates for others.

It looks like Sony is basically skipping 2020 as most of its movies have been moved to 2021 release dates.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which was set to open on 10th July 2020 but will not be released on 5th March 2021.

Morbius, an adaptation of the Marvel Comics vampire, was due on 31st July 2020 but will now be unleashed on 19th March 2021.

Peter Rabbit 2 is moved from 7th August 2020 to 15th January 2021.

Production on the Uncharted prequel film starring Tom Holland as the young Nathan Drake had been shut down, but they’ve also moved its release date from 5th March 2021 to 8th October 2021.

Tom Hanks’ Greyhound was due out on 12th June 2020, but now has no new release date.

However, Kevin Hart’s Fatherhood is moving from 15th January 2021 to 23rd October 2020.
