Birds of Prey gets some new posters

You would be forgiven for thinking that the new Birds of Prey movie was simply a Harley Quinn solo movie going by the posters that have been released. However, it does also feature Black Canary and The Huntress.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). It stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, and Ewan McGregor as Black Mask.

After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord.

Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) is directing the movie and she confirmed that Birds of Prey will be an R-Rated movie. It is due out in 2020.

The new trailer is out tomorrow so we will hopefully get a better idea at the tone they are going for. At the moment it all looks a bit of a mess and I am wondering whether Ewan McGregor will even wear a mask as Black Mask!
