Brandon Routh will be Superman once more for The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover

The CW’s Superhero shows already has Tyler Hoechlin as Superman on the Supergirl show. Meanwhile, Brandon Routh plays Ray Palmer/The Atom on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, a character which first appeared on Arrow.
However, Routh also played the Man of Steel back in 2006’s Superman Returns.
The next major crossover for The CW shows is Crisis on Infinite Earths. That will see the five shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman – tell a five-episode story.
Deadline is reporting that Routh will play both Clark Kent and Ray Palmer. Both he and Hoechlin will also suit up as Superman. The story involves alternate Earth’s and different timelines so it will all make some kind of sense.
I’m glad Routh will get a chance to be Superman once again. I always felt he was great in the role, but was let down with a boring script.
I wonder if we will see Smallville’s Tom Welling return to play Superman?
It all begins in December 2019.
