"No matter where you go, there you are."

Hilary Swank joins Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts, and Glenn Howerton in Blumhouse’s The Hunt

Blumhouse’s The Hunt has cast Hilary Swank in the politically charged action-thriller. She joins Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley and Glenn Howerton.

In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a group of globalist elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (Hilary Swank) at the center of it all.

The film is from screenwriters Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse. Craig Zobel (Prince Avalanche, The Leftovers) is directing.

Filming is about to begin and Universal has given it a release date of 27th September 2019 so they are cutting it close.

Plot details are scarce, but judging by the poster it appears humans will be hunted by other humans.

Blumhouse’s Jason Blum will produce, alongside Lindelof for his White Rabbit shingle. Cuse and Zobel will executive produce. Universal’s Erik Baiers and Jay Polidoro will oversee for the studio.
