The new Dark Phoenix TV Spot shows just how dangerous Jean Grey can be

As the X-Men have reverted back to Marvel Studios, Dark Phoenix will be one of the last FOX produced X-Men titles (there is still The New Mutants movie, but who the hell knows what’s happening with that one).

This new TV spot show how powerful Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey can be, but as she was only introduced in X-Men: Apocalypse why should we really care? FOX just seem to have rushed the storyline as they did in the original X-Men movies. Hopefully it will end up being a decent watch and I imagine there will be a few character deaths we did not see coming (and a few we did). I am glad the Mutants are heading back to Marvel and I look forward to this story eventually being told properly and having the Phoenix be the true planet shattering force we saw in the comics.

What are your thoughts on the TV spot? Let me know in the comments below.

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Directed by Simon Kinberg, the film stars Sophie Turner, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Tye Sheridan, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Alexandra Shipp, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

It is due out on 7th June 2019.
