Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are returning for Bad Boys 3

A third Bad Boys film had been rumoured for a long, long time. Yet it seemed that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence could never get schedules sorted for it and there were problems with the various scripts.
Meanwhile, a Bad Boys spin-off show, L.A.’s Finest. was made which debuts in 2019. That follows Syd Burnett, (Gabrielle Union). She featured in Bad Boys II and was the sister of Marcus (Martin Lawrence). In the show, she is joined by Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba).
However, Will Smith has now shared the news that both he and Martin Lawrence will be back for the third film, which is called Bad Boys For Life.
That’s all we know at the moment. There are not plot details, but in the past Columbia Pictures president Sanford Panitch said “If we’re going to make another ‘Bad Boys’ after 15 years, it’s got to be next-level great.”
The original Bad Boys made $141.4 million worldwide back in 1995, while its sequel made $273.3 million in 2003. Both were directed by Michael Bay.
Bad Boys for Life is due out on 17th January 2020.
Chris Bremner (The Wedding Ringer) wrote the latest script for Sony Pictures.
