"No matter where you go, there you are."

Rebecca Hall and Eiza Gonzalez join Godzilla vs Kong

We will next be seeing Godzilla in Godzilla: King of Monsters. That film stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga and Millie Bobby Brown. You can watch the trailer here.

After that, we will see the big lizard go up against King Kong (the one from Kong: Skull Island). That will be followed by Godzilla vs Kong, which has a release date of 22nd May 2020.

Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) is directing the team up movie. Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3) and Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver) have joined Millie Bobby Brown, Julian Dennison, Brian Tyree HenryAlexander Skarsgård (“True Blood”) and Demian Bichir (The Nun).

There is no word on the plot, but I imagine there will be lots of destruction taking place.

Godzilla: King of Monsters is directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat, Krampus), the Godzilla sequel also stars Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, and Zhang Ziyi.

The film follows crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

The film is due out in May 2019.
