Marvel’s The Eternals gets a director

Marvel Studios are planning more cosmic adventures with The Eternals movie. Chloe Zhao (The Rider) has got the directing gig. Zhao had been in the running to direct the Black Widow movie, but that ended up going to Cate Shortland.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that one aspect to the story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans.
When the Celestials visited Earth five million years ago and performed genetic experiments on early proto-humanity, they created two divergent races: the long-lived Eternals, and the genetically unstable and monstrously grotesque Deviants. These experiments also led to the capacity for super-powered mutations in humans. They also performed this experiment on other planets (such as the Kree and Skrull homeworlds) with similar results.
The Eternals were created by Jack Kirby and made their first appearance in The Eternals #1 (July 1976).
We have seen the head of a Celestial in the shape of Knowhere in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War.
There is no word on the plot for the film, but it should have some mind-blowing scenes.
