"No matter where you go, there you are."

Check out some new images from The Predator

Shane Black (Predator), having starred in the original film, wrote and directed The Predator. Black, who wrote the script with his Monster Squad co-writer Fred Dekker, has said that the film remains in the continuity of the first two movies.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

Starring Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski, THE PREDATOR will arrive in UK cinemas September 13th.

Empire had these new images of The Predator. “The challenge became to make it frightening,” explained writer-director Shane Black. “’Cause upon that hinged everything — whether you bought our heroes going up against him and felt a real threat for them. We had to invent a scenario in which the Predators were mysterious and scary again.”

AvPGalaxy is reporting that reshoots have been taken place for the film which seem to tie the new film closer to what has gone before, including Alien vs. Predator. Lex’s spear from AvP is now displayed alongside City Hunter’s spear from Predator 2. Casey, Olivia Munn’s character, is also shown some grainy pictures of the Predators from the first two films. The so-called “friendly” Predators have been completely cut from the film, along with the various hybrid creatures. All death sequences involving the more prominent characters have also been completely changed.
