Fallout 76 is heading our way

Yesterday Bethesda Game Studios shared a “Please Stand By” place holder on their social media accounts.

Now they have released a teaser trailer for Fallout 76!

It looks like it involves Vault 76 but other than that there is not much information to go on at the moment. From the trailer the Vault looks more like a home than in previous games.

Take Me Home, Country Roads plays in the trailer so maybe this is set in West Virginia? Is it going to have online elements or stick with just single player? I hope it is the latter, but a Fallout Online game has been rumoured for a long time.

We know from previous games that Vault 76, located near Washington, D.C., was opened and named in 2076, to mark the tricentennial of the United States of America. It was a control vault with 500 residents, set to open two decades after the bombs fell.

The Pip-Boy in the trailer shows the date in-game is 27th October 2102, so could we see Doctor Richard Grey became The Master in this new game?

However, Vault 76 is the “missing vault” mentioned in Mothership Zeta, so once we get out of the Vault will we be in an alien environment?

So many questions.

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76.
