"No matter where you go, there you are."

The Predator gets a trailer

Shane Black (Predator) wrote and directed The Predator. The new film stars Sterling K. Brown(“American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson”), Trevante Rhodes (“Moonlight”), Boyd Holbrook(“Logan”), Jacob Tremblay (“Room”) – in the front with Black , Olivia Munn (“X-Men: Apocalypse”), Keegan-Michael Key (“Key and Peele”), Thomas Jane (The Expanse) and Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones).

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

The film opens in September 2018.

I also talked about the original Predator in an episode of After the Ending. You can listen to that below.

  1. It plays MUCH better without the kid scene intercutting at the start, which seems to just be padding as there’s not a lot of FX work finished yet. Beyond that though – I’m digging it. Hints of that sharp and spicy Shane Black dialogue and some cool looking classic weapons.
