Jordan Peele’s next film gets a title and a cast

Jordan Peele, who created the blockbuster Get Out, follows that success with another original and provocative thriller: Us. He wrote the screenplay and will direct the film. Does the title have a double meaning – Us / U.S.? We shall have to wait and see.

Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o and Elisabeth Moss are in talks to join the film. THR is reporting that the film is said to centre on two couples, one white, one black. If a deal is made, Duke and Nyong’o would play one couple, while Moss would play part of the other couple.

Nyong’o is said to be in negotiations, while Duke and Moss’ potential deals are in earlier stages.

Peele produces for his Monkeypaw Productions alongside Sean McKittrick and Jason Blum. Also producing is Monkeypaw’s Ian Cooper.

Universal has given the film a release date of 15th March 2019.
