Shane Black’s The Predator gets a synopsis

CinemaCon is in full swing and Twentieth Century Fox has finally released a synopsis for The Predator.

Shane Black (Predator) wrote and directed The Predator. The new film stars Sterling K. Brown(“American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson”), Trevante Rhodes (“Moonlight”), Boyd Holbrook(“Logan”), Jacob Tremblay (“Room”) – in the front with Black , Olivia Munn (“X-Men: Apocalypse”), Keegan-Michael Key (“Key and Peele”), Thomas Jane (The Expanse) and Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones).

Here is the synopsis.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

Doesn’t tell us too much, but I like the set up and look forward to seeing how things unfold.

The film opens on 14th September 2018.
