Disney’s live-action Lady and the Tramp gets a director

Disney’s ongoing to quest to turn do live-action versions of all their animated movies continues. They have appointed a director for Lady and the Tramp.
Charlie Bean (The LEGO Ninjago Movie) will direct the live-action / CGI hybrid according to THR.
The original film follows a pampered cocker spaniel named Lady (Barbara Luddy) whose comfortable life slips away once her owners have a baby. When, after some tense circumstances, Lady finds herself on the loose and out on the street, she is befriended and protected by the tough stray mutt Tramp (Larry Roberts). A romance begins to blossom between the two dogs, but their many differences, along with more drama at Lady’s household, threaten to keep them apart.
It looks as if the new version will not be hitting the big screen as Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book) is producing the project, which is looking to be made for Disney’s digital streaming service that will launch in 2019.
Andrew Bujalski wrote the script for the remake.
