"No matter where you go, there you are."

Cloverfield 4 is set in World War II and has already finished filming

We had Cloverfield, then 10 Cloverfield Lane. The next chapter is heading our way and involves “a team of astronauts aboard a space station find themselves alone after a scientific experiment causes Earth to disappear. When a space shuttle appears, the space station crew must determine if they are friend or foe.”

That was originally called God Particle, but is now rumoured to be called Cloverfield Station. They are slowly beginning the viral advertising for the third film and it may be hitting Netflix in April 2018. It is possible we may see a trailer during the Super Bowl.

It now appears there is a fourth film in the series and it has already been made.

Back in February 2017 came word of a WWII supernatural thriller called Overlord. /Film/ have confirmed that this is now going to be the fourth Cloverfield film.

Julius Avery (Son of a Gun) directed the Paramount and Bad Robot’s World War II film Overlord – The story follows two paratroopers who are caught behind enemy lines after their plane crashes on a mission to destroy a German Radio Tower in a small town outside of Normandy during the D-Day invasion. After reaching their target, the two paratroopers come to realize that besides fighting off Nazi soldiers, they also must combat against supernatural forces that are a result of a secret Nazi experiment.

This film stars Wyatt Russell (22 Jump Street) and Jovan Adepo (Fences). It was also produced by JJ Abrams. It seems that Bad Robot is taking films and then tweaking them so they fit this Cloverfield anthology. I say anthology as I am not quite sure how they are all connected or, if they are, whether we will ever find out.

Overlord was due out on 26th October 2018, but it is not clear if that date will remain the same.

What are your thoughts on the whole Cloverfield thing? The way this is going could Star Wars: Episode 9 tie into Cloverfield?
