The new Halloween film has begun filming

Blumhouse have confirmed that the new Halloween movie has begun production.
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Judy Greer plays Karen Strode, the daughter of Curtis’ character, and Andi Matichak plays Allyson, the granddaughter of Laurie Strode.
Nick Castle will return to the role of Michael Myers, along with stunt performer and actor James Jude Courtney.
Virginia “Ginny” Gardner, Miles Robbins, Dylan Arnold, and Drew Scheid have also joined the cast as friends of Andi Matichak’s character.
John Carpenter will executive produce and serve as creative consultant on this film. David Gordon Green and Danny McBride wrote the new scrip while Green also directs.
McBride recently spoke to Yahoo about the film and how they are basically ignoring everything that happened after the first film and the fact it will definitely be a horror movie.
I think you should be very scared. I mean, this isn’t a comedy at all. I think there was, like, maybe one joke on the page, but the rest is straight horror,” McBride says. “So hopefully it gets in people’s heads and keeps them up late at night.
