It seems Daniel Craig may be Bond once more

During the press coverage of Spectre, it seemed that Daniel Craig had had enough of playing James Bond. However, time appears to have changed that as it seems he will once more be 007. Oh, and his thought to have been offered up to £120 million to return for two more films.

The Independent report that sources believe Craig has “changed his mind” and that franchise producer Barbara Broccoli has “secured” the actor. If he is definitely back I do hope he just doesn’t phone in his performance.

It also seems that Broccoli is reportedly “determined” to bring back Adele to record the film’s theme tune. The singer previously sang the lead track for Skyfall, the most profitable Bond film to date.

I loved Casino Royale, but felt the subsequent films just didn’t keep up what that film promised. Also it had Craig getting his 00 status, yet a couple of films he is deemed to old and a dinosaur in the service! I never understood why they did that. Just felt rushed and as if they weren’t paying attention to what had already been set up. I know it is a small point, but it just always bothered me.

There is no word on who will direct the new film. Sam Mendes did the last two. It seems that Christopher Nolan has been speaking to producers, but would want to wait until the franchise “needed” him.

Nolan told Playboy, “I’ve spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson over the years. I deeply love the character, and I’m always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You’d have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they’re getting along very well.”

Reports suggest that Bond 25 will start filming next year, with a potential release at the end of 2018.

How do you feel about Craig returning to play Bond? What do you want to see in the new Bond film?
