"No matter where you go, there you are."

Watch the trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express

An all-star cast, led by Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penélope Cruz and Daisy Ridley, feature in Kenneth Branagh’s 20th Century Fox’s new feature film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s acclaimed mystery Murder on the Orient Express.

What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. From the novel by best selling author Agatha Christie, “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect. One man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

In addition to directing the film, Branagh, a five-time Academy Award®-nominee, stars as detective Hercule Poirot. Depp portrays Ratchett; Pfeiffer is Mrs. Hubbard and Ridley plays Mary Debenham.

Oscar winner Judi Dench portrays Princess Dragomiroff, while Lucy Boynton is Countess Andrenyi. Tom Bateman plays Bouc, acclaimed stage actor and Tony winner Derek Jacobi portrays Masterman, Olivia Colman is Hildegarde Schmidt, Josh Gad is Hector MacQueen, Willem Dafoe is Gerhard Hardman, Penélope Cruz is Greta Ohlsson and Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. plays Doctor Arbuthnot.

Like the train itself, the new adaptation is looking beautiful and what a cast! However, the question is will Branagh’s moustache and accent prove to be a distraction?

I also think that the Imagine Dragons they use in the trailer is a bit of an odd choice. Anyway, check out the trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments.

The film is due out on 10th November 2017.
