Liev Schreiber puts on the boxing gloves for the Chuck trailer

Chuck (previously called The Bleeder) is directed by Philippe Falardeau and written by Jeff Feuerzeig and Jerry Stahl. The film stars Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Elisabeth Moss, Jim Gaffigan, Michael Rapaport, Pooch Hall, Morgan Spector, Ron Perlman and Kelvin Hale. The film revolves around the life of the heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner (played by Schreiber) and his 1975 fight with the heavyweight champion, Muhammad Ali (played by Hall).

The true story of Chuck Wepner, the man who inspired the billion-dollar film series ‘Rocky’—a liquor salesman from New Jersey who went 15 rounds with the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammed Ali. In his ten years in the ring, Wepner endured two knockouts, 8 broken noses, 313 stitches. But his toughest fights were outside the ring: an epic life of drugs, booze, wild women, incredible highs and extraordinary lows.

Chuck is due out on 5th May 2017.
